Sukta 3
तदग्ने चक्षुः प्रति धेहि रेभे शफारुजो येन पश्यसि यातुधानान्। अथर्ववज्ज्योतिषा दैव्येन सत्यं धूर्वन्तमचितं न्योऽष
tád agne cákṣuḥ práti dhehi rebhé śaphā́rujo yéna páśyasi yātudhā́nān | atharvávaj jyótiṣā daívyena satyáṃ dhū́rvantam acitáṃ ny òṣa ||
Set thou, O Agni, that eye upon thee, O Singer—hoof-shattering—wherewith thou seest the Yātudhānas. With Atharvan-like, heavenly light, burn down the unseen assailant, the true [foe] that works harm.
阿耆尼啊,请把那只眼安置在你这位歌者身上——碎蹄者——凭此你得以看见夜叉陀那(Yātudhāna)诸魔。以如阿闼婆那(Atharvan)般的天界光明,焚灭那不可见的袭击者——那真实作害之敌。
