这首简短的武战赞歌为战鼓（dundubhi）行灌顶，使之成为有生命、如呼吸般的力量；其雷鸣震动宇宙，并在远处令敌对势力惊惧。战鼓与因陀罗结盟，遂成辟邪之兵：驱逐不祥与恶兆（durita），振奋己方军旅，并为战车武士封定胜利。

दुन्दुभिः। उप॑ श्वासय पृथि॒वीमु॒त द्यां पु॑रु॒त्रा ते॑ वन्वतां॒ विष्ठि॑तं जग॑त्। स दु॑न्दुभे स॒जूरिन्द्रे॑ण दे॒वैर्दू॒राद् दवी॑यो॒ अप॑ सेध॒ शत्रू॑न्
（以）战鼓（dundubhi）！使大地与苍天同得喘息；愿那安立之世界为你远近四方皆起而动。噢战鼓啊，与因陀罗及诸神同在，从远处、从更远处，驱斥并阻退诸仇敌。

आ क्र॑न्दय॒ बल॒मोजो॑ न॒ आ धा॑ अ॒भि ष्ट॑न दुरि॒ता बाध॑मानः । अप॑ सेध दुन्दुभे दु॒च्छुना॑मि॒त इन्द्र॑स्य मु॒ष्टिर॑सि वी॒डय॑स्व
吼鸣吧；为我们安置力量与精进；向诸恶雷鸣，驱逐其逼迫。鼓啊，摒退凶厄与不祥：你确是因陀罗（Indra）之拳——显现你的威力。

前进——征服那边！愿这边的人得胜；愿有旗帜的战鼓高声轰鸣。愿我们的男子齐心，如马翼般俯冲；因陀罗啊，愿我方战车武士获胜。
