कण्वा इव भृगवः सूर्या इव विश्वमिद्धीतमानशुः । इन्द्रं स्तोमेभिर्महयन्त आयवः प्रियमेधासो अस्वरन्

IAST Transliteration

káṇvā iva bhṛ́gavaḥ sū́ryā iva víśvam íd dhītám ānaśuḥ | índraṃ stómebhir maháyanta ā́yavaḥ priyámédhāso asvaran ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Like Kaṇvas, like Bhṛgus, like suns, they won, in very truth, the whole of sacred thought. Exalting Indra with their lauds, the Āyavas, of pleasing wisdom, lifted up their song.

Translation

如同迦ṇ婆（Kaṇva）诸贤，如同婆利古（Bhṛgu）诸圣，如同太阳一般——他们确实赢得了全部的圣思与祈念。以赞歌尊崇因陀罗（Indra），阿耶婆（Āyava）族、具悦意之智者，高举其歌声而吟唱。
