FAQs

Ayurvedic diagnostic knowledge: it enumerates bodily loci where kaṇḍū (pruritus/itching) is recognized, helping a physician localize and classify the condition for treatment planning.

It shows the Agni Purana functioning as a compendium beyond theology—preserving clinical-style Ayurvedic lists (symptom-site mapping) alongside other sciences, reflecting its multi-disciplinary, reference-text character.

Indirectly, it supports dharma through health: maintaining bodily well-being is treated as enabling ritual duty and right conduct; thus medical discernment aids purity of life and sustained religious practice.
