FAQs

It gives muhūrta-vidyā guidance: avoid initiating travel during specific inauspicious yogas (Vaidhṛti, Vyatīpāta) and named karanas/periods (Nāga, Śakuni, Catuṣpāda, Kintughna).

Beyond theology, it preserves practical Jyotiṣa-muhūrta rules used for everyday decisions (like travel), showing the text’s wide scope across ritual timing, omens, and applied dharma.

Choosing proper timing is treated as dhārmic prudence: avoiding inauspicious periods is believed to reduce obstacles and adverse outcomes, aligning one’s actions with favorable cosmic conditions.
