Prastāra-nirūpaṇa — Explanation of Prastāra (Tabulation/Matrix of Metres)
火神阿耆尼将“普罗萨塔罗”(prastāra)确立为一套依规则运作的法门，用以枚举一切韵律格(Chandas)的可能性；以伽陀(gāthā)为参照，说明序列如何生成并相互比较。本章引入古典韵律组合术的操作程序：Naṣṭa（由序号反推格局）与Uddiṣṭa（顺向列举），并讲述奇偶处理、逐步折半以及计数校正等规则。继而把prastāra与“梅鲁-普罗萨塔罗”(Meru-prastāra，近似帕斯卡阵列)相连，提出“chandas之精髓”：数目先倍增再减一，计数可由逐级上升/下降推得（以adhvā/aṅgula之意象譬喻）。叙述将组合计算置于神圣秩序之中：韵律学成为一种数学性的法(dharma)，守护诵持的准确与纯正，并使人系统知晓一切许可的形式。
