Worship of Sūrya

Concept: Piṇḍārtha—compressing a larger ritual meaning into a bīja for focused upāsanā.
Application: Use a short seed-formula as the ritual nucleus (saṅkṣepa) for japa/nyāsa in Sūrya worship when elaborate rites are not feasible.

Sandhi Resolution Notes: इत्य् = इति (y-sandhi before vowel).
Related Themes: Agni Purana 299 (Grahahṛn-mantra-ādi); Agni Purana 300 (Sūryārcana prakaraṇa continuation)
It introduces Sūryārcana (Sun-worship) and gives a compact bīja-style mantra-string (a piṇḍa, i.e., condensed formula) said to be used to accomplish desired ritual aims.
It shifts from a prior chapter on planetary/heart-mantras (graha-mantra material) into a new, specialized ritual module on Sun-worship, showing the text’s catalog-like coverage of distinct mantra-systems and pūjā procedures.
By prescribing a ‘sarvārtha-sādhaka’ bīja for Sūrya worship, the verse frames the practice as a concentrated means for purification and goal-fulfillment through disciplined mantra-recitation and devotion to the solar deity.
