जागरितस्थानो बहिष्प्रज्ञः सप्ताङ्ग एकोनविंशतिमुखः स्थूलभुग्वैश्वानरः प्रथमः पादः ॥३॥

जागरित-स्थानः । बहिः-प्रज्ञः । सप्त-अङ्गः । एकोनविंशति-मुखः । स्थूल-भुक् । वैश्वानरः । प्रथमः । पादः ॥

IAST Transliteration

jāgaritasthāno bahiṣprajñaḥ saptāṅga ekonaviṃśatimukhaḥ sthūlabhug vaiśvānaraḥ prathamaḥ pādaḥ ||3||

Translation

Phần thứ nhất là Vaiśvānara: trú xứ nơi trạng thái thức (jāgrat), nhận biết các đối tượng bên ngoài; có bảy chi và mười chín “miệng”; và thọ hưởng, kinh nghiệm các đối tượng thô (hữu hình).

Academic Translation

The first quarter is Vaiśvānara: whose sphere is the waking state, who is conscious of external objects, who has seven limbs and nineteen mouths, and who enjoys (experiences) gross objects.
