यथा निर्वाणकाले तु दीपो दग्ध्वा लयं व्रजेत् । तथा सर्वाणि कर्माणि योगी दग्ध्वा लयं व्रजेत् ॥२३॥

Padapatha (Word Split)

यथा । निर्वाण-काले । तु । दीपः । दग्ध्वा । लयम् । व्रजेत् । तथा । सर्वाणि । कर्माणि । योगी । दग्ध्वा । लयम् । व्रजेत् ।

IAST Transliteration

yathā nirvāṇakāle tu dīpo dagdhvā layaṃ vrajet | tathā sarvāṇi karmāṇi yogī dagdhvā layaṃ vrajet ||23||

Translation

Như ngọn đèn đến lúc tắt, sau khi đã cháy thì trở về tiêu tan; cũng vậy, hành giả yoga thiêu đốt hết thảy nghiệp (karma) rồi đi vào sự lặng dứt, chấm dứt dòng nghiệp.

Academic Translation

Just as, at the time of extinction, a lamp—having burned—goes to dissolution, so the yogin, having burned up all actions, goes to dissolution (i.e., cessation of karmic continuity).
