Avadhuta Upanishad 6: Verse 6

एवं चतुष्पथं कृत्वा ते यान्ति परमां गतिम् । न कर्मणा न प्रजया धनेन त्यागेनैके अमृतत्वमानशुः ॥६॥

IAST Transliteration

evaṃ catuṣpathaṃ kṛtvā te yānti paramāṃ gatim | na karmaṇā na prajayā dhanena tyāgenaike amṛtatvam ānaśuḥ ||6||

Translation

Như vậy, sau khi lập (hay bước theo) con đường bốn phần, họ đi đến cảnh giới tối thượng. Không do nghi lễ nghiệp, không do con cái, không do của cải; chỉ nhờ ly tham–xả bỏ mà có người đạt bất tử.

Academic Translation

Thus, having made (or taken) the fourfold path, they go to the supreme state. Not by ritual action, not by progeny, not by wealth—by renunciation alone some attained immortality.
