एवं सा गोमती तत्र संजाता सागरंगमा । सर्वपापहरा प्रोक्ता पूर्वगंगेति या श्रुता
evaṃ sā gomatī tatra saṃjātā sāgaraṃgamā | sarvapāpaharā proktā pūrvagaṃgeti yā śrutā
Như thế, sông Gomati phát sinh tại đó và trở thành dòng sông chảy ra biển. Nàng được tôn xưng là đấng trừ diệt mọi tội lỗi, và nổi danh với danh hiệu “Gaṅgā phương Đông”.
