Ai, sau khi tắm gội với lòng sùng kính tối thượng, lại làm lễ cúng thỏa mãn các Pitṛ (tổ tiên)—vào tháng Śrāvaṇa, nửa tháng sáng, ngày trăng thứ mười hai—giữ mình tiết chế và thanh tịnh;
