एवं निवसतस्तस्य सुतलेऽपि शतक्रतोः । वत्सरा बहवो ह्यासंस्तदा बुद्धिमकल्पयत् । संस्मृत्य वचनं विष्णोर्विमृश्य च पुनःपुनः
evaṃ nivasatastasya sutale'pi śatakratoḥ | vatsarā bahavo hyāsaṃstadā buddhimakalpayat | saṃsmṛtya vacanaṃ viṣṇorvimṛśya ca punaḥpunaḥ
Khi ngài cư trú như thế—dẫu ở tận Sutala—nhiều năm đã trôi qua đối với Śatakratu (Indra). Bấy giờ ngài bày ra một kế, nhớ lời của Viṣṇu và suy ngẫm đi suy ngẫm lại không ngừng.
