महादेव उवाच । श्रृणुष्वावहितो भूत्वा मम वाक्यं पितामह । दक्षस्य यज्ञभंगोयं न कृतश्च मया क्वचित्
mahādeva uvāca | śrṛṇuṣvāvahito bhūtvā mama vākyaṃ pitāmaha | dakṣasya yajñabhaṃgoyaṃ na kṛtaśca mayā kvacit
Đại Thần (Mahādeva) phán: Hỡi Pitāmaha, hãy chăm chú lắng nghe lời ta. Sự phá vỡ lễ tế của Dakṣa này chưa từng do ta gây ra, vào bất cứ lúc nào.
