nimiṣāṇāṃ ca ṣaṣṭyā vai phala ityabhidhīyate | paṃcadaśyā ahorātraiḥ pakṣaityabhidhīyate

Sáu mươi lần chớp mắt (nimiṣa) được gọi là phala, một đơn vị thời gian; và mười lăm chu kỳ ngày-đêm (ahorātra) được gọi là pakṣa, tức nửa tháng.
