तत्सर्वं श्रोतुमिच्छामो याथातथ्येन कथ्यताम् । न ह्यन्यो विद्यते लोके त्वद्विना वदतां वरः । तस्मात्कथ भो विप्र सर्वं शुश्रूषतां हि नः
tatsarvaṃ śrotumicchāmo yāthātathyena kathyatām | na hyanyo vidyate loke tvadvinā vadatāṃ varaḥ | tasmātkatha bho vipra sarvaṃ śuśrūṣatāṃ hi naḥ
Chúng tôi muốn nghe tất cả; xin kể đúng như sự việc đã xảy ra. Trong đời này, ngoài ngài ra, không ai là bậc kể chuyện tối thắng. Vì vậy, ôi Bà-la-môn, xin thuật lại trọn vẹn—chúng tôi đang khát khao được lắng nghe.
