तस्मात्कायं परित्यज्य स्वस्था भव शुचिस्मिते । दक्षेणोक्ता तदा पुत्री सा सती लोकपूजिता

tasmātkāyaṃ parityajya svasthā bhava śucismite | dakṣeṇoktā tadā putrī sā satī lokapūjitā

Vì thế, hãy lìa bỏ thân này và an trú trong bình an, hỡi người nở nụ cười thanh khiết. Dakṣa đã nói như vậy với con gái mình—nàng Satī, được muôn đời tôn kính.
