कथमुद्वहनार्थी च येनानंगः कृत स्मरः । अत्यासन्नेचातिदूरे आढ्ये धनविवर्जिते । वृत्तिहीने च मूर्खे च कन्यादानं न शस्यते

kathamudvahanārthī ca yenānaṃgaḥ kṛta smaraḥ | atyāsannecātidūre āḍhye dhanavivarjite | vṛttihīne ca mūrkhe ca kanyādānaṃ na śasyate

“Sao có thể cầu hôn với người mà chính ngài đã khiến Smara (Kāma), kẻ vô thân, thành ra như thế? Hơn nữa, việc gả con gái không được tán dương khi mối duyên quá gần hay quá xa, khi người đàn ông quá giàu hay quá nghèo, khi không có kế sinh nhai, hoặc khi ngu muội.”
