हाहा पुत्रेति च गृणन्प्रस्खलंश्च पदेपदे । घटोत्कचोऽपतद्दीनः पुत्रोपरि विमूर्छितः
hāhā putreti ca gṛṇanpraskhalaṃśca padepade | ghaṭotkaco'pataddīnaḥ putropari vimūrchitaḥ
Vừa kêu than: “Ôi con ta!”, vừa vấp ngã từng bước, Ghaṭotkaca đau buồn ngã quỵ, bất tỉnh trên thân con mình.
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced)
Scene: Ghaṭotkaca, towering and anguished, staggers crying 'hā hā putra', collapses, and faints upon his son’s body; the surrounding figures recoil in sorrow, some reaching to support him.
Human sorrow is natural, yet the Purāṇas frame even grief within the inevitability of karma and divine governance.
