अथ क्षुधाबलं ज्ञात्वा मामौदरिकसत्तमम् । क्रूरं साहसिकं चैव न स्तौषि क्षमिणां वरः
atha kṣudhābalaṃ jñātvā māmaudarikasattamam | krūraṃ sāhasikaṃ caiva na stauṣi kṣamiṇāṃ varaḥ
Hoặc vì biết sức ta bị thúc đẩy bởi cơn đói—ta, kẻ đứng đầu trong bọn tham ăn—ngươi cho ta là hung bạo và liều lĩnh, nên vẫn chẳng ca tụng ta, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong những người nhẫn nhịn.
