इति ते कथिता संख्या अर्थं चैषां श्रृणु द्विज । अस्मिन्नर्थे चेति हासं तव वक्ष्यामि यः पुरा
iti te kathitā saṃkhyā arthaṃ caiṣāṃ śrṛṇu dvija | asminnarthe ceti hāsaṃ tava vakṣyāmi yaḥ purā
Như vậy ta đã nói cho ngươi biết con số của chúng; nay hãy nghe ý nghĩa của chúng, hỡi brāhmaṇa. Và về chính ý nghĩa ấy, ta sẽ kể cho ngươi một chuyện xưa mang lời răn, từng khiến người ta bật cười.
