Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced from Māheśvarakhaṇḍa context)
Scene: A Śaiva devotee greets women with folded hands, addressing them as mother/sister/daughter; nearby, a meal scene shows him performing ācamana and washing before approaching a shrine; the sun is depicted as a powerful orb, with the devotee averting gaze until purified.
Devotion expresses itself through respectful speech and careful observance of purity in daily life.
No holy site is indicated; this is a general rule of conduct.
Rules about ucchiṣṭa-state purity: do not touch objects and avoid looking at the sun.
