पाराशर्य उवाच । शृणु सूत महाभाग कथां श्रुतिसहोदराम् । यां वै हृदि निधायेह पुरुषः पुरुषार्थभाक्

Transliteration

pārāśarya uvāca | śṛṇu sūta mahābhāga kathāṃ śrutisahodarām | yāṃ vai hṛdi nidhāyeha puruṣaḥ puruṣārthabhāk

Translation

Pārāśarya nói: “Hãy lắng nghe, hỡi Sūta phúc đức, câu chuyện thiêng liêng này—tựa như đồng bào với Śruti (Veda). Ai ghi khắc trong tim, người ấy ở đời này đạt quả của bốn mục đích nhân sinh: dharma, artha, kāma và mokṣa.”
