अप्रयच्छन्समाप्नोति भूणहत्यामृतावृतौ । स्वयं त्वभावे दातॄणां कन्या कुर्यात्स्वयं वरम्
aprayacchansamāpnoti bhūṇahatyāmṛtāvṛtau | svayaṃ tvabhāve dātṝṇāṃ kanyā kuryātsvayaṃ varam
Người nào giữ lại (người thiếu nữ, tức từ chối gả cô ấy đúng lúc) sẽ mắc tội ngang với tội phá thai, lặp đi lặp lại khi mùa thích hợp trôi qua. Nhưng nếu không có người giám hộ thích hợp, người thiếu nữ có thể tự mình chọn chồng qua lễ svayaṃvara.
