ऋतुः षोडशयामिन्यश्चतस्रस्ता सुगर्हिताः । पुत्रास्तास्वपि या युग्मा अयुग्माः कन्यका प्रजाः
ṛtuḥ ṣoḍaśayāminyaścatasrastā sugarhitāḥ | putrāstāsvapi yā yugmā ayugmāḥ kanyakā prajāḥ
Thời kỳ ritu gồm mười sáu đêm; trong đó có bốn đêm bị chê trách nặng nề. Ngay cả trong các đêm còn lại, thụ thai vào đêm chẵn thì sinh con trai; vào đêm lẻ thì sinh con gái làm hậu duệ.
