श्रुतिमेव सदाभ्यस्येत्तपस्तप्तुं द्विजोत्तमः । श्रुत्यभ्यासो हि विप्रस्य परमं तप उच्यते
śrutimeva sadābhyasyettapastaptuṃ dvijottamaḥ | śrutyabhyāso hi viprasya paramaṃ tapa ucyate
Bậc tối thắng trong hàng dvija, nếu muốn tu khổ hạnh (tapas), hãy luôn chuyên cần thực hành Śruti; vì đối với một vipra (Bà-la-môn), sự tụng học Śruti không gián đoạn được tuyên là tapas tối thượng.
