kārdamiruvāca | yadi nātha prasannosi bhaktānāmanukaṃpaka | sarvāsāmādhipatyaṃ me dehyapāṃ yādasāmapi
Type: kshetra
Scene: Kārdama, hands folded, petitions Śiva for lordship over all waters and aquatic beings; behind them, symbolic waves, river currents, and creatures (fish, makara) appear as cosmic emblems.
A devotee may seek divinely sanctioned responsibility (ādhipatya) for cosmic order, not merely personal enjoyment.
Kāśī is the implied sacred setting where such boons are requested and conferred.
No specific rite; it is a direct supplication (prārthanā) for a boon.
