यज्ञस्थायर्त्विजे दैवस्तज्जः पाति चतुर्दश । वरादादाय गोद्वन्द्वमार्षस्तज्जः पुनाति षट्
yajñasthāyartvije daivastajjaḥ pāti caturdaśa | varādādāya godvandvamārṣastajjaḥ punāti ṣaṭ
Hôn phối Daiva là khi gả cô dâu cho vị ṛtvik (tư tế) đang chủ trì lễ tế yajña; con cháu sinh ra từ đó che chở đến mười bốn đời. Hôn phối Ārṣa là khi nhận từ chú rể một đôi bò; con cháu sinh ra từ đó thanh tịnh đến sáu đời.
