Nếu do sơ suất mà nhớ đến điều bất tịnh, thì làm ācamanā hai lần sẽ được thanh tịnh. Nên thực hành việc làm sạch răng theo đúng lời dạy của Dharma-śāstra; vì dù đã ācamanā, nếu chưa làm sạch răng thì vẫn bị xem là chưa thanh tịnh.
