nārada uvāca | aṣṭādaśasahasrāste brāhmaṇā vedapāragāḥ | kathaṃ te vyabhajangrāmāndrāmo tpannaṃ tathā vasu | vastrādyaṃ bhūṣaṇādyaṃ ca tanme kathaya suvra tam
Nārada thưa rằng: “Mười tám nghìn vị Bà-la-môn ấy đều tinh thông Veda. Họ đã phân chia các làng mạc và của cải phát sinh từ đó ra sao? Y phục cùng châu báu được phân phát thế nào? Xin Ngài, bậc trì giới thù thắng, hãy nói cho tôi biết.”
Nārada
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Nārada, holding vīṇā, respectfully questions a sage/authority in an āśrama court; behind them, Brāhmaṇas with manuscripts and tokens of grants; piles of cloth and ornaments suggest the distribution topic.
Dharma includes fairness and transparency in distributing sacred gifts and resources meant for sustaining spiritual life.
The focus remains Dharmāraṇya as a dharmic landscape where large-scale gifts and settlements are organized.
No direct prescription; the verse inquires into the method of distribution of grāma-dāna proceeds and donated goods.
