पञ्चमे चित्रकूटे तु रामो वासमकल्पयत् । तदा दशरथः स्वर्गं गतो राम इति ब्रुवन्
pañcame citrakūṭe tu rāmo vāsamakalpayat | tadā daśarathaḥ svargaṃ gato rāma iti bruvan
Đến ngày thứ năm, Rāma an trú tại Citrakūṭa. Bấy giờ Daśaratha lên cõi trời, miệng chỉ xưng niệm “Rāma, Rāma.”
Narrator (Purāṇic voice; likely Sūta/Lomaharṣaṇa)
Tirtha: Citrakūṭa
Type: kshetra
Scene: Rāma sets up a hermitage at Citrakūṭa’s wooded slopes; parallel scene: Daśaratha on his deathbed, eyes closed, uttering ‘Rāma’ as he departs for heaven.
Remembrance of the righteous (and the Divine name) at life’s end is held as a purifier; holy places become stages for dharma.
Citrakūṭa is highlighted as Rāma’s dwelling-place, a sacred landscape in the Rāma tradition.
None explicitly; the verse implies the merit of nāma-smaraṇa (remembering the name) at death.
