Types of Bhasma and the Method of Wearing Tripuṇḍra
शिवलोकं ततः प्राप्य लब्ध्वेष्टं काममक्षयम् । शिवसायुज्यमाप्नोति संशयो नात्र जायते
śivalokaṃ tataḥ prāpya labdhveṣṭaṃ kāmamakṣayam | śivasāyujyamāpnoti saṃśayo nātra jāyate
Sau đó, khi đạt đến cõi của Śiva và nhận được sự viên mãn như ý, bất hoại và không suy giảm, người ấy chứng đắc Śiva-sāyujya—hợp nhất với Śiva. Về điều này, không hề có nghi ngờ.

Sthala Purana: Kāśī/Viśveśvara is portrayed as the gateway from graded lokas to Śivaloka and finally sāyujya; the narrative logic is that Śiva’s grace consummates what other lokas cannot: imperishable fulfillment.
Significance: Affirms the Śaiva Siddhānta telos: beyond bhoga in higher worlds lies Śiva’s abode and the culminating state granted by grace (anugraha).

Cosmic Event: Transcendence of kalpa-time is implied: ‘akṣaya’ fulfillment and sāyujya stand beyond cyclical cosmic durations.
It declares the assured fruit of Śiva-bhakti: attainment of Śivaloka and ultimately Śiva-sāyujya—liberation through closeness and union with Pati (Śiva), beyond perishable worldly rewards.
In the Vidyeśvara context, worship of Saguna Śiva—especially through the Liṅga and Śiva-mantra—purifies the paśu (bound soul) and leads stepwise to Śivaloka and then to the highest grace culminating in sāyujya.
Steady Śiva-upāsanā is implied—regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Liṅga-pūjā with devotion, and disciplined conduct; these are traditionally supported by bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to remembrance.
