Bhagavān Śiva phán rằng: “Đối với những người thuộc truyền thống Veda—đặc biệt là hàng nhị sinh—việc thờ phụng phải được cử hành theo con đường Veda, chớ làm theo phương cách nào khác.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Sthala Purana: Direct injunction attributed to Śiva: Vaidikas/dvijas should worship by the Vedic path alone, not by ‘other’ methods—reflecting Śiva as the regulator of dharma and ritual order (niyama).
Significance: Teaches ritual discipline: for those with Vedic adhikāra, fidelity to one’s śāstric procedure is itself a form of devotion and prevents ritual confusion (saṅkara).
Type: rudram
Offering: dhupa
It emphasizes that spiritual power in worship depends on right order (vidhi) and dharma: for Veda-bound practitioners, Śiva-worship should align with Vedic injunctions so the act becomes purifying and conducive to grace and liberation.
It frames Linga/Saguṇa-Śiva worship within authorized ritual discipline: the form is worshipped, but the method must follow the Vedic rule-set appropriate to the worshipper’s dharma, ensuring the offering becomes a proper means to Śiva’s anugraha (grace).
Perform Śiva-pūjā with Vedic procedure—purification, sanctioned mantras (including pañcākṣarī where appropriate), and prescribed offerings—avoiding improvised or non-scriptural substitutions for those obligated to Vedic observance.
