“Vì lòng thương mến, ta đã ban điều này cho ngươi; hãy nhận lấy, hỡi bậc đại hiền. Và hỡi Dakṣa, ta cũng ban cho ngươi sự bất tử, cùng địa vị Gaṇapati (thủ lĩnh các gaṇa) trường cửu.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Role: liberating
The verse highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): through devotion and divine pleasure, the Lord bestows exalted states—immortality and proximity to His retinue—showing that liberation and divine rank arise from Śiva’s compassionate bestowal rather than mere worldly merit.
As Saguna Śiva, the personal Lord responds to bhakti and grants boons; Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana is presented as a direct means to invoke this grace, leading the devotee toward nearness to Śiva’s presence (His gaṇas) and ultimately freedom from mortality.
The practical takeaway is steadfast bhakti expressed through Shiva-puja—especially Linga abhiṣeka with mantra-japa (notably the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—seeking Śiva’s grace as the source of protection, upliftment, and liberation.
