“Ngươi sẽ sớm nếm sự nghiền nát dữ dội và mau lẹ của thói kiêu mạn này. Quả thật, bất chợt sẽ dấy lên một đại chiến—đối đầu với kẻ hùng mạnh ngang sức ta.”
Lord Shiva (Rudra)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse warns that darpa (ego-pride) inevitably meets its praśamana (quelling). In Shaiva Siddhanta, grace dismantles arrogance so the soul (paśu) can turn from bondage (pāśa) toward Shiva (Pati) through humility and right discernment.
Saguna Shiva actively protects dharma and corrects adharma by subduing pride. Linga-worship trains the devotee in reverence and surrender—precisely the inner antidote to darpa that this verse highlights through the imagery of an inevitable divine confrontation.
A practical takeaway is daily Panchakshara japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and a humility vow (dropping self-importance). The aim is inner ego-pacification so one need not learn only through ‘dāruṇa’ (harsh) correction.
