शुक्रस्य जठरस्थत्वं तथा मृत्युशमनी-विद्या (Śukra in Śiva’s belly and the death-subduing vidyā)

Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
It shows the Shaiva ideal that true instruction begins with devotion—Sanatkumāra first recollects Śiva’s lotus-feet, indicating surrender to Pati (Śiva) before transmitting knowledge.
Remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet reflects Saguna-upāsanā (devotional contemplation of Śiva’s form), which prepares the mind for receiving and conveying Purāṇic teachings, including Linga worship.
Begin study or discourse with Śiva-smaraṇa—mentally bow to Śiva’s feet and, if practiced, recite the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a short preparatory dhyāna.
