शिवदूतेन युद्धनिश्चयः तथा देवदानवयुद्धारम्भः (Śiva’s Envoy and the Commencement of the Deva–Dānava War)
देवदानवयोर्युद्धं स्परमभून्मुने । धर्मतो युयुधे तत्र देवदानवयोर्गणः
devadānavayoryuddhaṃ sparamabhūnmune | dharmato yuyudhe tatra devadānavayorgaṇaḥ
Hỡi bậc hiền triết, một trận chiến dữ dội bùng lên giữa chư Deva và các Dānava. Tuy vậy, trong cuộc giao tranh ấy, đoàn quân của cả hai bên vẫn chiến đấu theo dharma, giữ đúng khuôn phép chính đạo.
