वृन्दोवाच । कृपानिधे मुनिश्रेष्ठ परोपकरणादर । मयि कृत्वा कृपां साधो जीवयैनं मम प्रभुम्
vṛndovāca | kṛpānidhe muniśreṣṭha paropakaraṇādara | mayi kṛtvā kṛpāṃ sādho jīvayainaṃ mama prabhum
Vṛndā thưa: “Ôi kho tàng từ bi, bậc hiền triết tối thượng, người hân hoan làm lợi ích cho kẻ khác—bạch Thánh giả, xin thương xót con và khiến phu quân của con được sống lại.”

The verse highlights śaraṇāgati (surrender) and the power of kṛpā (grace): in Shaiva thought, sincere humility and appeal to compassion become a doorway for divine or saintly intervention, reminding devotees that restoration and upliftment ultimately depend on higher grace rather than egoic control.
Though the verse addresses a sage, its devotional mood mirrors Saguna Shiva worship—approaching a compassionate, responsive Lord through pleading, reverence, and surrender. In Linga-upāsanā, devotees similarly seek Shiva’s anugraha (bestowing grace) for protection, healing, and renewal of life-force.
