अध्याय १७ — देवपलायनं, विष्णोः प्रतियुद्धं, जलंधरक्रोधः

युद्धेन ते महादैत्य प्रसन्नोऽस्मि महान्भवान् । न दृष्टस्त्वत्समो वीरस्त्रैलोक्ये सचराचरे
yuddhena te mahādaitya prasanno'smi mahānbhavān | na dṛṣṭastvatsamo vīrastrailokye sacarācare
Hỡi Đại Daitya, Ta (Rudra/Śiva) hài lòng về ngươi vì trận chiến này. Ngươi quả là bậc hùng dũng phi thường. Trong tam giới—giữa loài động và loài bất động—Ta chưa từng thấy một dũng sĩ nào sánh bằng ngươi.
