देवाः वैकुण्ठगमनम् तथा विष्णोः अवतारस्तुतिः | Devas Go to Vaikuṇṭha and Praise Viṣṇu’s Avatāras
नमस्ते गूढदेहाय वेदनिंदाकराय च । योगाचार्याय जैनाय वौद्धरूपाय मापते
namaste gūḍhadehāya vedaniṃdākarāya ca | yogācāryāya jaināya vauddharūpāya māpate
Kính lễ Ngài, Đấng có chân thân ẩn mật; kính lễ Ngài, Đấng trong hình tướng che phủ khiến người đời phỉ báng Veda. Kính lễ Ngài như bậc Đạo sư Yoga; kính lễ Ngài hiện làm Jaina; và kính lễ Ngài mang hình Phật—hỡi Chúa Tể.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Shiva Purana dialogue to the sages, describing the Lord’s veiling forms in the Yuddha narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: नमस्ते गूढदेहाय वेदनिंदाकराय च । योगाचार्याय जैनाय वौद्धरूपाय मापते
Type: stotra
The verse praises Shiva as the supreme Lord who can conceal His true nature and, through His māyā, appear in varied doctrinal forms—yet all such manifestations ultimately serve His cosmic purpose of guiding souls toward liberation.
By acknowledging Shiva’s many assumed forms, the devotee is directed back to Saguna Shiva as the compassionate Lord who becomes approachable through worship—classically centered on the Linga—while remaining transcendent (nirguṇa) in essence.
The practical takeaway is steadiness in Shaiva sādhanā—japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and yogic discipline under devotion—so one is not confused by outward doctrinal appearances but remains oriented to Shiva as Pati (the Lord).
