It presents Yajña (sacred, ordered action) and Dakṣiṇā (right offering) as a divinely ordained pair—teaching that dharmic action becomes spiritually fruitful only when joined with proper intention, reverence, and giving.
Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana emphasizes disciplined ritual and inner devotion. Yajña and Dakṣiṇā symbolize that outer worship (offerings, rites) must be accompanied by the correct spirit of surrender to Saguna Shiva for the rite to become sanctifying rather than merely transactional.
Offer worship with “dakṣiṇā-bhāva”—a mindset of giving: perform japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and make a sincere offering (naivedya, dāna, or service) as part of Shiva-pūjā, aligning action with devotion.
