ṣaṣṭyādyāmāśca navamī vratamastaṃ raverdinam | tathā śrāddhadinaṃ tāta niṣiddhaṃ radadhāvane

Translation

Hỡi người thân yêu, vào ngày tithi thứ sáu và các tithi khác đã được chỉ định, ngày thứ chín (navamī), ngày giữ giới nguyện (vrata), ngày mặt trời lặn, và cả ngày dành cho śrāddha—trong những ngày ấy, việc làm sạch răng bằng cách chà/nhai cành cây là điều bị cấm.
