कामप्रभावः (कामा॑स्य प्रभाववर्णनम्) — The Power of Kāma and the (Ineffective) Attempt to Delude Śiva
कृतं पूर्वादधिकतः कर्म तन्मोहने विधे । नाभवत्तस्य मोहोपि कश्चिद्ध्यानरतात्मनः
kṛtaṃ pūrvādadhikataḥ karma tanmohane vidhe | nābhavattasya mohopi kaściddhyānaratātmanaḥ

It teaches that deep dhyāna (meditative absorption) makes the mind unshakable; even intensified attempts to create moha (delusion) cannot bind one who is inwardly steady—an image of freedom from pāśa (bondage) in a Shaiva Siddhanta sense.
Linga-worship and Saguna Shiva devotion are meant to mature into one-pointed contemplation; when the devotee’s awareness becomes steady in Shiva-centered dhyāna, delusion loses its power, as shown here.
The takeaway is sustained dhyāna supported by japa—especially the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—along with Shaiva aids like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrāksha to stabilize attention and reduce moha.
