Explaining Viṣṇu’s Role at Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
Lord Vishnu (Hari)

Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse highlights dharma’s protective power: those established in sacred duty—especially brāhmaṇas devoted to mantra, purity, and worship—are upheld by divine order, so fear cannot truly bind them.
In the Shiva Purana’s devotional framework, fearlessness arises from shelter in the Lord (Saguna Shiva) and the sanctity of worship. Respecting brāhmaṇas—guardians of mantra and śāstra—supports the Linga-worship ecosystem that sustains dharma.
A practical takeaway is to uphold brāhmaṇa-honor and daily mantra-japa (especially Panchākṣarī: “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with purity; such śraddhā-based practice is presented as a foundation for inner fearlessness.
