The Celestial Voice Rebukes Dakṣa and Proclaims Satī’s Greatness
Satī (addressing a proud deity/being who relies on birth-status as Brahmā’s son rather than devotion to Śiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It condemns pride based on lineage or status and declares that without devotion to Śiva (Pati) and alignment with Satī’s dharma, one remains deluded; true knowledge is measured by humility and worship, not by titles.
By insisting that Śiva must be worshipped (arcana), it supports Saguna-upāsanā—reverence to Śiva in accessible form (including Liṅga worship)—as the practical antidote to ego and spiritual ignorance.
The takeaway is regular Śiva-arcana: offering with humility, japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), and cultivating devotion that dissolves garva (pride) and moha (delusion).
