एते हि सर्वे च सुरासुरा भृशं नमंति मां विप्रवरास्तथर्षयः । कथं ह्यसौ दुर्जनवन्महामनास्त्वभूत्तु यः प्रेतपिशाचसंवृतः
ete hi sarve ca surāsurā bhṛśaṃ namaṃti māṃ vipravarāstatharṣayaḥ | kathaṃ hyasau durjanavanmahāmanāstvabhūttu yaḥ pretapiśācasaṃvṛtaḥ
«Tất cả những kẻ này—cả chư thiên lẫn a-tu-la—đều cúi lạy ta với lòng kính trọng sâu xa; các bậc Bà-la-môn tối thắng và các hiền thánh ṛṣi cũng vậy. Vậy sao người được gọi là bậc đại tâm kia lại xử sự như kẻ ác, khi y bị bọn preta và piśāca vây quanh?»
