It highlights that through dhyāna on Pati (Śiva), Satī gains inner clarity about the deeper divine purpose—where true spiritual resolve may require tyāga, the sacrifice of even what is most dear, for dharma and union with Śiva.
Satī’s meditation is on Śiva as her personal Lord (Saguna Pati), showing that focused devotion to Śiva’s accessible form leads to discernment (buddhi) and right action—an inner fruit also sought in Liṅga-worship.
A clear takeaway is Śiva-dhyāna: steady contemplation on Śiva as the indwelling Lord; practitioners may support this with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a simple vow of tyāga—giving up a cherished attachment as an offering to Śiva.
