Divine Pavilion and Canopy; Summoning the Gods
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva’s mastery over attachment: even rightful affection is subordinated to a pure cosmic resolve (śuddha-paṇa) aligned with līlā, teaching that liberation requires inner sovereignty rather than being driven by emotion.
Saguna Śiva acts within the world’s drama while remaining inwardly untouched; Linga-worship trains the devotee to revere that steady, vow-bearing consciousness—Śiva as Pati—beyond shifting personal likes and dislikes.
A practical takeaway is vow-based japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a resolve for vairāgya, supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and mindful restraint of attachment, aligning one’s will with dharma.
