The verse highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): sincere stuti offered with reverence draws the Lord’s response, culminating in a boon—showing that devotion is a direct means to divine favor and spiritual upliftment.
By emphasizing hymn and praise to Śaṁbhu, the verse aligns with Saguna-upāsanā—approaching Śiva through worship, names, and attributes. Such stuti commonly accompanies Liṅga worship as an outward form that conduces to inner realization.
Attentive, reverent listening (śravaṇa) and recitation of Śiva-stuti are implied; practically, one may chant Śiva’s names (including the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with devotion as a daily practice seeking purification and grace.
