It highlights that Satī’s divine nature is recognized through her qualities (guṇas) and that a sacred name is not mere convention but an expression of her śakti and auspicious essence, inspiring reverence and devotion.
In Shaiva Siddhānta, devotion to Śiva is inseparable from honoring Śakti. By praising Satī’s virtues and receiving her sacred name, the narrative prepares the devotee to approach Saguna Śiva (and the Liṅga) with humility, purity, and recognition of divine grace manifest in form.
A practical takeaway is nāma-smaraṇa (contemplation of divine names) with bhāva: repeating sacred names of Śiva-Śakti while cultivating the virtues praised—purity, auspiciousness, and devotion—alongside regular Shaiva practices like japa of the Pañcākṣarī.
